Jason Charles
Director of Public Relations
In 2019 Jason joined the team of Southland Gaming USVI, as a Marketing Executive and comes from a background of Economic Development. In 2007 Jason served as the Chief Application Investigator for the Economic Development Authority (EDA) under the former Governor John de Jongh Jr. administration. As the Chief Investigator at the EDA his role encompass due diligence work on high-net-worth applicants applying for Economic Development Commission (EDC) benefits. He is highly skilled in EDC laws and regulations. Jason is a Certified Compliance Professional and has extensive expertise in EDC Compliance. For ten years, he worked for Alpine Securities USVI, LLC as Chief of External Affairs, managing EDC compliance regulations, government relations and also serves as Director of Charities.
Jason holds an Associate degree in Business Management, and Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration concentration in Finance from the University of the Virgin Islands.
He is an active volunteer in the Junior Achievement of the Virgin Islands program, co-host of the weekly radio talk show Ideas and Issues. Jason also served as a past board member of All Saints Cathedral School.
